Silver/silver CDR Media Without Stacking Ring

Standard CDR Media has a stacking ring that is used to provide a small separation between each disc when they are stacked on a spindle. There are certain applications where it is beneficial to not have a stacking ring. This allows thermal printing closer to the hub without interference to the thermal printer print head.

CDR Media without stacking rings is also useful when labels are used that extend to the center hub. When these labels are applied on media without a stacking ring, there is no unsightly bulge under the label where the stacking ring normally is.
